This is my magnum opus. I hope it starts World War III.

The concept of a "Best Girl" is simply, but also not-simply, a character that is exceptionally likeable. It's hard to properly define a Best Girl, it's just something I know when I see it.

The only criteria to make this list is that it must be a girl from an anime that I have seen. It is impossible for me to fairly judge characters from anime I haven't seen. Excluded anime include I-can't-believe-it's-not-hentai and certain on-going anime.

So if I left off someone you think deserves to be a Best Girl, or if you think someone is ranked poorly, it is most likely I haven't seen the anime or I have excluded it. Or your taste is shit. Probably that.

And it would be irresponsible of me to not let the world know that the all-time Worst Girl is fucking Sakura. My boy Naruto got his ass kicked so many times for her and she's all like "I love you" to manipulate him. Then Sasuke literally tried to murder her, several times, and every single time was her own stupid fault as she couldn't help but walk into please-murder-me situations. And of course Naruto had to save her, more getting his ass kicked. But ratchet-ass Sakura of course married Sasuke. Man, fuck Sakura.

And with all due respect to greats like Kana Hanazawa and Rie Takahashi, Konomi Kohara is the #1 voice actress.
